1. Who these Terms Apply To
By using RouteRewind ("the Service") at routerewind.com, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").
The Service is operated by Nick Doulos ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
2. Free Tier
The free tier gives you access to:
Unlimited 3D fly-through previews
Video export up to 1080p (30 seconds max)
All three map styles (Realistic, Cyberpunk, Canvas)
Screenshot export
GPX file upload (no Strava account required)
The free tier is provided without a time limit and without requiring a payment method.
3. Pro Subscription
The Pro subscription ("Pro") unlocks additional features for €2.99 per month (including any applicable VAT for EU users).
Pro features include:
4K video export and higher bitrate encoding
Unlimited animation duration (free tier capped at 30 s)
Remove the RouteRewind watermark from exports
Custom route line colour, width, and glow
Three additional camera styles (Bird's Eye, Side Track, Low Sweep)
Custom logo watermark on exports
Branded accent colour
4. Billing and Payment
Payments are processed by Polar.sh (Polar Software Inc.). We never store or access your payment card details.
Your subscription renews automatically each month on the same day it started.
Polar.sh collects and remits VAT where required by EU law. Your Polar invoice will show the applicable VAT amount.
Prices are displayed in EUR inclusive of VAT where required.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your Polar customer portal (link in your Polar confirmation email).
After cancellation, your Pro access remains active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days within a paid period.
EU 14-day withdrawal right: Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. Because Pro features are made available immediately upon purchase, you expressly agree — by clicking "Upgrade to Pro" and completing checkout — that performance of the contract begins immediately and that you therefore waive your right of withdrawal once the service has been delivered. This does not affect your right to cancel future billing.
If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days and we will investigate promptly.
6. Account and Access
Pro access is tied to your Strava athlete account (via your Strava athlete ID). Do not share your Strava login.
We reserve the right to suspend access if we detect abuse (e.g., sharing a single Pro account across multiple people).
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use RouteRewind to:
Violate any applicable law or regulation
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service
Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to access the Strava API through our OAuth flow in a manner that violates Strava's own Terms of Service
8. Intellectual Property
RouteRewind's code, design, and branding are our intellectual property.
Your GPS route data remains yours. We do not claim any rights over it.
Videos and screenshots you export are yours to use freely.
9. Third-party Services
RouteRewind relies on third-party services including Strava (GPS data), Cesium Ion (terrain), MapTiler (satellite imagery), and Polar.sh (payments). Each service has its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for their availability or conduct.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by applicable EU law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece (EU). Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Greece, without prejudice to your rights as an EU consumer to bring proceedings in your country of domicile.
