RouteRewind is built on open data, open-source software and free map services. Here is who made them and the licence each one is used under.

Map data

Imagery and terrain

The contour lines on the home page are drawn from Terrain Tiles (Mapzen, on the AWS Open Data Registry). For Greece their source is EU-DEM: produced using Copernicus data and information funded by the European Union.

The credits for the layers on screen are always shown in the corner of the 3D map, and exported videos carry a credit line for the map they show.

Demo photos

The sample route around the Acropolis shows three photos from Wikimedia Commons. The author and licence of each are on its file page:

Music

The built-in soundtracks are generated live in your browser by RouteRewind’s own code. They contain no recorded or licensed music.

Trademarks

Strava, Relive, Garmin, Komoot, Apple Health, Wahoo and Coros are trademarks of their owners. They are mentioned only to say which files RouteRewind can open. RouteRewind is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
